Heavy 6-Axle Engine LB08.

Our latest, most powerful and detailed model, containing over 740 parts. Modelled after a 1950's engine of the Dutch Railways in the famous Berlin blue colour.

Of this NS 1300 engine only 16 were produced in the period 1952-1956. In those days it was the most powerful engine of the Dutch Railways. It was used to pull both passenger and freight trains. Initially they were painted turquoise, but from 1955 until the mid-seventies they crossed the country in the Berlin blue colour. Later on the engines were painted grey and yellow (as the NS 1100 model), to match the new company colours.

Special in this model are the 3-axle bogies. These are completely constructed of Lego ® parts and designed to run also smoothly through the curved Lego ® tracks. In each bogie, 2 axles are powered. The 'engines' are 2 Power Function (PF) M-motors. The maximum speed of the model is less then the standard Lego ® trains. Compared to standard Lego ® trains it can pull more wagons, due to the 2 powered bogies.

The set includes 16 printed bricks (no stickers) with the round windows and company logo's.

Can be used on 9V, 12V or RC/PF track with the appropriate Power Function parts. These parts are available in an optional

NS1300 Power Function set. This Power Function set also includes 2 Lego ® leds, which can be mounted in the front and back of the model.

Additionally, the set contains parts and instructions to build the model as a 'dummy', so without motors and lights. Below a picture of the 'dummy' version.
